Small businesses in Dublin are reinventing themselves in order to service their customers during these uncertain times and one such business is The Bakehouse.

Joanne Peat opened The Bakehouse Dublin 10 years ago and the bakery has gone from strength to strength over the years, offering ‘a special combination of Irish warmth and friendliness, along with the best quality homemade foods, baked goods and carefully chosen beverages.

With the lockdown rules firmly in place and customers unable to frequent the locations in Bachelor’s Walk and the CHQ  Building in Dublin city and events and catering on hold, Joanne turned to deliveries to keep the clients happy.

Bakehouse Dublin is offering a range of delicious Bakehouse Boxes to suit every occasion, whether it be for a family brunch or celebration at home.

Betzy Nina is a Venezuelan jewellery designer living in Dublin, who arrived in 2010 on a mission to improve her English. Cut to 2020 and she is still here and running her own successful jewellery company, Sandia Dublin…a brand inspired by the rich colours of the Caribbean.

Betzy creates her pieces from lightweight materials, from expanded rubber, to air dried porcelain, wood and metals.  Sandia Dublin jewellery suits every occasion and her jewellery is enjoyed by customers in Ireland, Europe and even the USA to name a few countries where she ships her creations.

My Lady Bug

We love promoting and featuring inspirational stories and businesses and this one is just that!

Maryrose Simpson is a graphic designer, e-commerce specialist and social media ninja who came up with a solution for women everywhere with her business MyLadyBug.ie

Five years ago she founded Ireland’s first monthly period subscription service, MyLadyBug and her business has gone from strength to strength over the years, even seeing her nominated as a regional finalist as Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur.

Fit With Sylvia

Everyone needs to get fitness inspiration from someone they admire and Sylvia Diaz is one such person who makes you want to get up and live your best life!

Sylvia is a dynamic young woman who hails from Spain originally where she conquered the catwalks as a fashion model.  After successfully kicking an eating disorder, she gained a passion for all things wellness related, qualifying as a nutritionist and personal trainer, later adding one of her big loves of dance.

The Styling Irish

One man who is making it work for him during this trying time, is Pat O’Sullivan, AKA The Styling Irish.

After starting his company a couple of years ago supplying the men of Ireland with a one stop shop for must-have accessories, he has now branched out and is creating designer sneakers.

Pat comes up with the designs himself and is even open to creating bespoke sneakers for an individual on a choice of either Nike or Vans styles for men and women.
