Hey guys! Here’s hoping you all had an amazing Christmas 😊
With Christmas day now done, the dinner eaten and all those presents unwrapped, lets take a look at what was under all that pretty wrapping paper and ribbons!
Clearly my friends and family know me too well as there was a definite theme of make up with the gifts I received this year and I got some great makeup kits and palettes that I can’t wait to try out! So, with this in mind I thought I would do a post relating to all the brilliant beauty gifts I received.
Amongst the make- up gifts I received there was a Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quad with four lovely blush and mink coloured shades which are perfect go to colours and very versatile so will go with pretty much everything and work well day or night.
My beautiful sister got me a lovely Bare Minerals Oohs & Aahs gift set which has a lovely palette with four eyeshadows and two face powders in the form of a flawless radiance and a Matte blush along with two full size Gen nude lip colours and a lash domination mascara with a gold makeup pouch to keep it all in. The colours in this kit are great for creating a nice neutral smoky eye look and also are build-able to create a more dramatic look with the darker shades.
Another gift I was given was a Mischief Minx MAC eyeshadow palette which has a lovely selection of Matte and Metallic eye colours in warm neutral and smoky shades and a really nice shimmery face colour, the colours are great go to colours for daytime but also great for creating strong going out looks as well. The palette comes packaged in a funky leopard print design and is a great size for taking away with you or popping in your handbag.
I was also given an NYX face palette called Dublin (I know … how appropriate for me! :)) This is from a range of palettes they have recently released which are inspired by and named after different cities around the world, each of them contain a lip colour, four eyeshadows, a highlighter and a blush. The Dublin palette has a selection of neutral shades and of course a lovely metallic green shade for the eyes and nice peachy shade of blush with a dark neutral matte lip colour. This is a great on the go kit for a one stop face fix!
The final makeup gift I received was a Beauty and the Bay Benefit gift set which includes a miniature high beam, a full size highbrow pencil and Hoola bronzer as well as a full-size tube of my absolute favourite go to, can’t live without Mascara -They’re real! This kit has really cool packaging that looks like a fortune tellers ball or a giant snow globe if you prefer with a very 70’s inspired pattern and bright pink and orange colours and is full of great staple products to top up your make up bag with.
As well as make up I also received some lovely bath products by Sanctuary and some more of my all-time favourite perfume – Alien by Thierry Mugler which I am always happy to have extra reserves of, its my go to perfume, I absolutely love the fragrance and I wear it day and night.
